2021-2022 NEWS

Elementary Academic Team

Members(left to right): Ian Bowman, Annabeth Clarkson, Joseph Krill, Abby Gilland, Micah Clark, Elizabeth Besik,Nickson Luttrelll, McKenna Menold, Kaleb McCamish, Andrew Holstead, Jazmyn Simmons, Benjamin Moore and Raul Villarreal. The Elementary Quick Recall Team placed 2nd at District Competition on Feb. 12, 2022. In addition the following students placed in content assessments:Math -Anna Cammack (2nd), Will Gingerich (3rd) and Micah Clark (4th); Science - Ian Bowman (3rd) and Nickson Luttrell (5th); Social Studies - Elizabeth Besik (1st) and Joseph Krill (2nd); Arts & Humanities- Elizabeth Besik (1st) and Abby Gilland (3rd). The student will compete at the Regional Competition on March 5, 2022. 

The Quick Recall Team placed 1st place at the 6th Grade Showcase. In addition, the following students placed in content assessments: Math- Jackson Luttrell (5th) and Annabelle Preen (6th); Social Studies- Jackson Luttrell (5th); Science- Elijah Patton (6th) and Lamvi Harmon(6th); Language Arts- Kaitelyn Selph (3rd) and Alexandra Lyon (6th); Arts and Humanities- Alexandra Lyon (2nd); Composition- Alexandra Lyon (2nd).

Middle School Academic Team

Members (left to right): Kylie Dixon, William Jensen, Evelyn Hobbs, Kate Jarboe, Alexandra Lyon, Julia Hobbs, Mary Jurus, Jackson Luttrell,Lily Saltsman, Jack Stevenson, Daniel Jurus, Brock Randlett, Lex Burkhead, PT Minor, Evan Shephard, and Jacob Norton. The Quick Recall Team placed 2nd at District and Regional Competition. In addition, the following students placed in content assessment at District: Math-Brock Randlett (3rd); Science- Jack Stevenson (1st) and Kate Jarboe (4th); Social Studies- Jackson Luttrell(1st) and Jack Stevenson (2nd); Language Arts- Alexandra Lyon (1st), Daniel Jurus (4th) and Evelyn Hobbs(5th); Arts & Humanities - Alexandra Lyon (2nd) and Julia Hobbs (5th). The following students placed at Regional Competition and will be going on to State Competition in March: Jackson Luttrell placed 5th in Social Studies, Jack Stevenson placed 1st in Social Studies and 3rd in Science, Brock Randlett placed 5th in Math and Julia Hobbs placed 4th in Arts & Humanities. 

2020-2021 NEWS

In addition these students placed in content assessments at Districts: Science- Elijah Patton (1st) and Lamvi Harmon (4th); Math - Lamvi Harmon (5th); Social Studies- Jackson Luttrell (1st) and Joseph Krill (3rd); Arths & Humanities - Abby Gilland (2nd) and Elizabeth Besik (4th); Composition- Alexandra Lyon (2nd). At Regionals Jackson Luttrell placed 4th in Social Studies Content Assessment.

6th Grade Showcase Academic Team

Members (left to right) Daniel Jurus, Kate Ditto, Jessie Shupe, Tylar Craig, Kate Jarboe, Lily Saltsman, Keira Yun, Logan Powell, Alexander Burkhead, Colt Muse, Kylie Dixon.  Students who placed in content assessments were as follows: Science - Kate Jarboe (5th); Social Studies - Lex Burkhead (5th); Language Arts - Daniel Jurus(5th); Arts & Humanities- Lily Saltsman (6th); Composition- Kylie Dixon (3rd)

Middle School Academic Team

The Middle School Quick Recall Team placed 2nd at District and 4th at Regionals. In addition, we had the following students place in content assessment at Districts: Math- Brock Randlett (4th); Science - Kate Jarboe (3rd) and Jack Stevenson (4th); Social Studies- Sam Record (2nd), Jack Stevenson (3rd) and Franklin Jardim (5th); Arts & Humanities- Frankie Peak (1st) and Julia Hobbs (4th); Language Arts- Frankie Peak (2nd); Composition- Aubrey Schemmel-Moyer (1st) and Kate Jarboe (5th). At Regionals we had Jack Stevenson place 5th in Social Studies and Aubrey Schemmel-Moyer place 4th in Composition. 

2019-2020 NEWS

The St. James Governor's Cup Recall Team placed first at the Regional KAAC Governor's Cup Competition on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020.The team consists of Anthony Pike, Landen Fisher, Frankie Peak, Abby Clarkson, Cameron McCullough and Mason Baldwin.Coaches are Mrs. Martha West and Mrs. Cindy Kasey. (Above)  The team will represent St. James at the State KAAC Governor's Cup Event on March 15th, 2020.

Mason Baldwin placed 3rd in Social Studies and Frankie Peak placed 3rd in Arts & Humanities at the Regional KAAC Governor's Cup Competition on Feb. 1, 2020.(Above) Both will be moving on to State Governor's Cup Competition which will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020.

The Saint James Knowledge Masters Team placed first at the Knowldedge Masters Competition that was held at the HCEC-TV Station in Dec. 2019(Above)

Saint James Governor's Cup Quick Recall Team won 1st place at the District Governor's Cup Competition on January 18,2020.  Members (Above):  Abby Clarkson, Frankie Peak, Landen Fisher, Mason Baldwin, Cameron McCullough and Anthony Pike.  These students will be competing at the Regional Governor's Cup in February.

 District Governor's Cup Winners (Above): Landen Fisher 3rd place Social Studies, Frankie Peak 4th place Arts & Humanities, and Mason Baldwin 1st place Social Studies

 6th grade Academic Team placed fourth overall at the Kentucky Colonels 6th Grade Showcase.  Members of the team include: Brock Randlett, Jack Stevenson, Franklin Jardim, Zachary Preen, PT Minor, Jacob Norton, Julia Hobbs, Mary Jurus and William Jensen (Above)
